Town walks

Let's take a walk in the port city and experience the life and culture in its' streets.

If you walk along the sea from Takamatsu port,
you will arrive in the 100 year old warehouse district, Kitahama Alley.
It's like time stopped still, in the rusted storehouses,
a number of unique shops have opened up.
Cafés, bookstores, children's clothing shops, and general stores are all on display.

On the bank you have fishermen's boats lined up as well as Seafood restaurants run by the fishermen.
Everything refreshingly reminds you that you're in a small fishing town.
Nearby you can find Tamamo Park; the ruins of Takamatsu Castle, a national historic site; as well as the Kagawa Museum.
Stretch your legs out a bit and go for a stroll to the Takamatsu Chuo covered outdoor shopping mall,
which is the longest covered outdoor shopping mall in the Japan.
One of the joys of walking around the mall is finding famous and well established stores.
Of course, there are also lots of Udon restaurants.
We also have perfect maps for taking a small stroll around the beach.
